Is it generally better when dealing with a cop to play it cool and not run away, or run away? What is a good indication of when or when not to run for it? What do you think?
if there is only one cop and you stand a good chance of getting away, run. Just make sure that the cop doesn't get a good look at you or you car/plate # if in a car. But if you are not likely to get away, i say play it cool. Cops usually are nicer if you are respectful to them and don't make then run after you. But if the cop is some overweight fatty, run.
If you were smoking in a hill filled with trees right outside a college dorm and a University cop starts flashing lights into the woods, would you do? Make sure you have nothing on you, and walk out to face the cop? Or run away...?
not being from america i gotta ask are university cops actual cops who can arrest you or are they more like security guards who only hold you until real cops arrive? But anyway i find that playing cool generally works. We had half a pound in the car once and were pulled over. Just played it straight and breathalyzed us and we were on our way again. That was fucking scary. Talking to cops on acid is fucked too.
College cops can get a warrent to arrest you; I'm not sure if they have an actual jail or not, but they do have real guns I'm pretty sure... I am stoned right now so I could be wrong...
In that situation, i would just make sure i had nothing on me. No point leaving the house with more then you intend to smoke. Always have it pre-rolled. No point it waiting till you get there to roll, and its always a bad idea to carry a bowl around on you. Although i would never put my self in that sort of situation. Getting arrested for weed is not something i want to do ever again.
To me, being cautious is more important then smoking out of glass. One mistake, here in PA, will ruin at least a year of your time. Why would you not want to roll anyway? A bowl pack is enough for a joint.
Some people don't know how to roll, like me. I guess living in California has its benefits, as I don't really have to worry about being sent to jail. I can understand where you are coming from though.
Yeah I can't roll for shit. I've been trying to practice but it's an art that takes awhile to master...
What you have to remember is to stay on the force, most officers have to pass a yearly "physical". It can really vary department to department but generally you have to stay in decent health to keep your job. I was once chased by a cop who weighs about 300 pounds across a parking lot. I had a decent head start on him but he was able to catch up to me at the end of the parking lot and he lifted me over his head and threw me in a trash can. Any yes, I knew the guy so it was cool. I really didn't think he could catch me either because I'm fairly fast.
just saw a really fat cop on Dr Phill He probably couldnt even walk to the end of a parking lot. I think he was a detective though...
