well ive been reading lately about how to make hash. i am just wondering if anyone can give me some adivce. i am going to start saving stems and seeds from all the bud im getting. what i would like to know is since its not the best quality weed would it be worth saving this material? from the sites that i have read about how to make hash i have figured that the ice way would work the best. i have a nice smoothy maker that i think would work good for this. i know i will need alot of stems and seeds for this so it will be quite some time before i will try it. i dont grow so i dont have access to leaves and other plants so this is the only way i would be able to do it. i would just like to know if other people make hash from their seeds and stems?? from what i have read there isnt much thc seeds or stems but if i had enough would i be able to make some hash?? if anyone has done this before with seeds and stems how much roughly would i need to use?? if anyone has done this before with seeds and stems how much roughly would i need to use?? i am guessing it would be like an ounce or probably more likely two. ive never smoked good hash and i would really like to try some and i am sure i can manage to do it as long as the stuff i use will work.
Don't bother saving the seeds, they don't have much THC if any. If you're just picking the stems out of your bud and not growing and using whole plants. Then maybe you should try making honey oil. That stuff kicks ass.
well i was just going to grind up the seeds and stems after i get enough in my smoothymaker with ice and water. i didnt know about the seeds either but i thought as long as i strain all of that through a gold coffee strainer it would be easy to just let the trichomes settle to the bottom. i am just saving seeds and stems from what i smoke and all my friends are smoking. whats the easiest way to do the honey oil way?? ive read about the mixing with isopropyl alcohol but i have a gas stove so i dont wanna try that stuff. the butane seems like a reasonable way to do it but i wouldnt know where to get a pollen extracter. what would be a good way to make a home made version of a pollen extracter. i have a few cans of butane around so it might be a good way of doing it. the ice way just seems so much cleaner but i just wanna make some hash
dont save the seeds. very little trichomes will come off of stems, if any, so I would advise making honey oil or doing an extraction like that.
whats an easy way to do an extraction like that??? like i said i dont want to use the iso hash method because i have a gas stove so i dont want to try boiling it on the stove. does anyone know of an easy way to make a pollen extractor using butane??
Take a PVC pipe with two ends to it and cut one hole in the top and 5 holes in the bottom. Put a piece of coffee filter on the side with 5 holes and fill it with your stems ground up as fine as possible. Take a can of butane and put it into the single hole you made and empty the can into a glass bowl. Butane evaporates at room temperature, but it will still take a while if you just let it sit. Put the bowl of butane in another bowl of hot water, when the butane is completely evaporated, all that will remain will be a golden oil, use something to scrape up all of it then smoke it. The oil will be solid at room temperature, but if you heat it up it will start to drip, I usually just melt a few drops onto a bowl of weed and get high as hell. Also, do this in either next to an open window or outside. You probably won't get too much but it will be worth it because you're literally turning nothing into something.
that sounds pretty easy ill save up my stems till have have alot then ill add some buds in with it also. i just have a bunch of seeds so i thought that would be a good way to use them. they are nasty to smoke and i cant stand them if they are in a bowl. the taste would probably go into the hash to.
i have another question what is better to smoke regular hash or hash oil?? also i was wondering how much stems should i save to try this. the bud i have been getting lately isnt the best by any means but it is decent. i was just figuring for a good first batch maybe like 3/4 of an ounce of stems and then a quarter of some bud if i can. even if i just use say 3/4 ounce of stems i should get at least a gram hopefully??

this makes hash really sound like a waste of money. turning a quarter of herb into a gram of hash? thats like $70 into $20. y not just buy hash, it would be much cheaper plus you wouldn't have to do all that work?
LOL umm dude didnt you read the thread title???? im not using bud to make it im saving stems and little scraps of bud to make it. i was thinking the same way you are i dont want to use my bud to make it and get hardly anything. im just saving leftover crap that id otherwise throw away to make it. so wouldnt you think that would be worth making? i already smoke the bud so why not make something from the crap thats not worth smoking. btw unless i have alot of bud at the time i make this from stems i might add some bud in with it but as of now im just planing on using like an ounce of stems.
yea its pretty much not even heard of around here unless by chance a friend from downstate brings a tiny bit up with him. usually he hardly ever brings any up and its always outragous. now that its pretty much winter everyone is gone back to school so theres nothing around up here now. im still saving stems so hopefully ill get something from it when i go to try it out. i want to have alot so i know ill get something.
