Which is your favourite Rolling Stones album? There's alot of choices since the Stones have done god knows how many albums in 40 years in the business and their still going today! My favourite album would be Exile on Main St. So good, it's got everything they were leading upto. It's their peak!

from 66 to 73 ...here they were the best
    The second is "Sticky Fingers"
and my Fave album is probably "Goat's Head Soup" with this incredible guitar solo sound of Mick Taylor... i enjoy it and not for Angie... i'm tired of this song...

    THEIR SATANIC MAJESTIES REQUEST

Samson, you are bang on mate.:)
I have to 100% agree with you. If no one has never
heard this album and you like the ''Stones'' then I
highly recommend it, I love having a joint or two
while listening to it, much like they do. LOL

When i was 16 it was my best rolling stone album but i think the same as Brian Jones... "this album is a little too psychedelic commercial". Brian Jones wanted an even more underground psychedelic sound (check "Gomper").
Strangely the songs were Brian Jones had the most influence were the best too as "2000 light years from home" or "Gomper"... "Gomper" was in fact a Brian Jones composition but as ever stoled by Jagger/Richards.

Clearly if Jagger & Richards were less dictators and let a little more place to the psychedelic professor (in fact Brian Jones) the album "Their Satanic Majesties Request" will be even better ...
But i agree that this is probably their most adventurous album.
