Apparently, Sia grew up in an abusive, alcoholic family, and this song and video was meant to reflect how she coped. I can't really identify with that part of it, but I know how it feels to want to do anything to drown out loneliness and the knowledge that things are bad as much as I want them to be okay and just want to make the best of it... I just want to hug her...
