Other people may not consider these the best, or even aesthetically pleasing, but they're the best to me!

    In no particular order:

    Marvin Gaye
    Paul McCartney
    Rob Thomas
    Prince
    Steven Tyler
    Tom Waits

Maynard James Keenen, without a doubt he's got one of the best voices I've ever heard. For those who don't know he's the lead singer of Tool and A Perfect Circle.

YES! maynard!!!! he is truly truly truly the most AMAZING singer. I dont really dig on tool too too too much. some songs are VERY beautiful veryyyy spiritual to me, but i generally think they are a buzzkill of a band. but the singer is egrubiuefvieugn!!!! his voice is SO beautiful. he has SUCH range, such voice control. I think maynard takes the cake.

other then maynard though... i absolutely love jim morrison (the doors in generaly). his voice is so unique, but not offensive, doesn't grip you or stand out, like an earsoar. it's beautiful and deep and round and yatta yatta.

Robert Plant! How could I forget him?

I also love Bob Dylan's whiny drawl, but I'm odd like that.

I think these questions are hard because there are so many unique voices that it is hard to choose. So I generally go by someone with a good voice as well as who I like to listen to.

Scott Weiland (STP, Velvet Revolver) has an amazing range and can sing in a lot of styles. My personal favorite is Rivers Cuomo but I wouldn't say he is the most talented male singer or anything. I just like the sound of his voice. The singer for Shinedown is pretty amazing too.
