Water and lots of it. A hangover is just dehydration.

It's best to prevent a hangover before it even happens. Drink a ton of water before bed and eat something, too. Eating something will put something besides alcohol in your stomach so that it won't dehydrate you as badly.

True. Well, as far as far as eating, make sure that eating is being done either before or while drinking, not after, because odds are, you'll just barf it all out.

And yes, water does help. Get a big glass of water and drink it before bed, or else while drinking, make sure that every 3rd or 4th drink you have is a good glass of water, to keep you hydrated.

Agreed. I haven't gotten drunk in a very long while, and it's often because I end up being the DD. I've two or three drinks TOPS over a whole evening, nothing that'd impare my driving whatsoever, and therefore also doesn't lead to hangovers.

you're not just dehydrated, your missing a lot of vitamins and such

so i found that some gatorade mixed with water, some toast and plenty of rest to be a great cure of a hangover

I never got why people drink coffee either when drunk or hung over. Caffeine makes you excited, so if you're drunk and drink coffee, you don't sober up, you just become more excited. Caffeine also dehydrates you, so drinking tea, coffee or cola doesn't help recover from a hangover.

Green tea and yogurt (already mentioned) is good. Bananas are high in protein as well. And tons of water.

Apparently, he's just a saint... :toetap:

Don't drink is the obvious answer.
Seriously doubt everyone will stick to that this holiday season.

I haven't got any other bad habits except coffee...You, andcrs2?

I like to eat something my tummy can handle, & have some powerade, or one of the less acidic fruit juices..Lots of water, of course & coffee later.
Usually try to skip the painkiller 'cause my liver already had a workout..To each their own. :)

Goodness, I haven't had a hangover since last February, and ohhh, I so do NOT want to repeat that!

To be honest, it had been so long since I had had a hangover that I had no idea how to deal with it besides puking my guts out for hours on end and lying on the floor crying like baby. :&
