I'm using the PF-Tek for simple minds for growing my first magic mushrooms. http://www.fungifun.org/English/Pftek Seems pretty straight forward, and not to mention cheap. But I was wondering, where online are the best cubensis strains? I'm not sure if they differ from each website, but any growers here had good results with a certain website or type of strain?
Yeah, look around on Shroomery boards in the mushroom cultivation section. I've been growing B+'s, and I wouldn't recommend it. Weak. A friend is sending Cambodian spores, they're a lot more potent from what he's said. Spores101 is a good place to order from.
It doesn't really make a difference which one you use. I think the different "strains" are something that vendors have invented.
Well, every strain looks different so..i think you're wrong on that. But I'm thinking of going with http://thehawkseye.com anyone know if its a good site to order from?
from my understanding, its not so much the mushrooms that matter when detirming potency, its more what they're grown in. horse poo is known for producing large, potent shrooms. grains seem to do better than brown rice flour as well. but you cant do grains until you get a pressure cooker.
with every order, or does it have to be a minimum ammount? i was planning on ordering from them anyway, but a free syringe definitely cements the deal.
i like sporeworks i have grown numerous strains, and they all were about the same in potency, aside from a curiously strong batch of ecuadors. just pick one cause in the end it really doesn't matter
also, ralphsters is a good site but i personally hate the payment options. i would rather just pay with a card really quick and be done with it
Yeah, they look different and there is some distinction, but it seems like a pointless one to make. It's common for a species to have different phenotypes. The different "strains" can still sexually reproduce with each other, and most of them really don't look that different. All of the different names that people have given to the same thing might be more meaningful if there weren't so many. I doubt that the amount of strains vendors market even reflects the diversity of cubensis. People just want to give a name to crap so that it can make them feel special. Anyway, the hawkseye is a good site. Any of the sponsors of shroomery.org, of which hawkseye is one, are good.
