Best Contemporary Metal Band?

It's like metal meets lyrical, but it definitely qualifies as metal and contemporary.

 

I don't even know what contemporary means. Seems like some fancy made up word to me. it couldn't be progressive, it couldn't be easy listening, no. It had to be defined as contemperary. Just saying the word contemperary 10x aloud is a lol, it just doesn't make any sense. if someone wants to care to elaborate I'm all ears.

 

Contemporary just means current as far as I know.

 

Yup. And best means its subjective So it can be prog, gothic, death, black or even nu (probably not ).
I don't care about metal in general or thus a generalized/overall best band. I care about certain stuff in particular subgenres of which it seems meaningless to propose as the overall best contemporary thing in metal (although it is for me personally). Metal is so diverse anyway. The more particular one's taste gets the more pointless it is to state what you find best is the ultimate best out of a collection of subgenres.

 

Disturbed will always be my go to band!
