Well who do you guys think it is?? I just found this poll asking to vote for the best http://msg.com/photos/comedys-all-time-greats/ and with so many greats from Charlie Chaplin to George Carlin its tough to chose one.. Who would you guys vote for?

My vote went to George Carlin! His material was always funny.

George Carlin and Bill Hicks definitely... I've spent time thinking about how Bill Hick's acts would be like today if he were still alive... :(

I havent checked out many comedians, but I like Maria Bamford, Dane Cook before he got popular, Robin Williams was great. Ellen Degeneres did very funny shows back then too

and I do love Carlin and Lewis Black

Wow? Nobody said Mitch Hedberg yet? This guy had a gift. His creativity and his ability to compact humor into one or less line has nothing short of inspired me. He changes angles so fast while being hilarious at the same time it's nuts. Check this shit out:

what about the real comedians? like lenny bruce? he is the starting point for comedians
of this era? lucile Ball?so may to post and not enough time to get them posted!,and of course about the only comedian that really made me laugh, richard pryer!i dont know if how many people have really seen him lately but in one of his last interviews he said he wanted his whole lifes story to be told,he got to be good freinds with Red Fox while being a writer for that show, for whatever reasons he blamed red for his cocaine addiction.
but the way i remember things unfolding, is that cocaine was never pushed up his nose by anyone but himself. We really miss you Richard! hope you can beat this severe problem that creeped up on you!!

I think Carlin is the best of all time. But Lewis Black gives him a run for his money:

    Mitch Fatel is also hilarious:

I think Dylan Moran, when at his best is pretty much one of the best.
