I voted Montreal but I've yet to see Edmonton, the Peg or the 2 maritme joints listed if I spent more time in Vancouver I think that vote could potentially change, and I have a feeling I'd really like Halifax
Montreal - laid back, cheap to live in, cosmopolitain enough but without the big city problems. Really old architecture and cutting edge tech. Vancouver - crime ridden overpriced slum.
i was looking for regina (of course, the best city in canada is the one i live in, but due to the influx of wealthy retiring babyboomers, housing is becoming prohibitively expensive) ps, all wealthy retiring babyboomers should retire to regina. it is by FAR the best city in all of canada. Long winters=more cuddle time in front of the fireplace!
yup, shocking how there were no cities from Saskatchewan in the list. hrmph. Not that I'd say toon town is the best city, but it would be nice if it was listed at least
other than here, ive only been to edmonton and montreal i was too young to remember edmonton and i was only in montreal for a night, for a concert just like here, montreal seems to have a lot of bums. though there they always seem to ask for cigarettes instead of money.
Only been to Montreal and Quebec City I do dig Montreal. I need to make it a point to visit there more considering I only live an hour and a half away
Alright.. i am breaking down and voting for a city outside of Saskatchewan. But, for the record, from the looks of it, any Saskatchewan city would have gotten 3 votes. I am voting for Halifax. Why? That "Heritage Canada Moment" with the ship exploding and the guy staying behind to send to message to the train used to really freak me out as a child. Plus, Halifax was lagging behind the other cities, and I always back the underdog.
I'm a proud Montrealer. Everytime I travel and come back home, I remember why I love this city so much.
I love visiting Canada, but my only real experience with it is the Kitchener/Waterloo area in Ontario.
