It's just so damn bewildering that Republicans can garner any support or that there are humans alive who think that they have any interest in properly governing or listening to the people they represent.

 

McCarthy lost the speaker of the house because he said that the Benghazi hearings were created to make Hillary Clinton look bad, and it worked....her poll numbers have gone down.

So basically, the cons have sent $6 million taxpayer dollars to smear Clinton. Cons didn't like McCarthy exposing their dirty deeds.

 

The republicans care about dead americans(anywhere) as much as I care about Pluto.

 

They don't care about live ones either, especially children, the poor, the sick and the elderly.

You have to look at both sides of US politics or you are in danger of becoming a fanatic. If you don't understand why one party doesn't seem to make sense and the other makes perfect sense, you're already caught in the trap. Abandon your favorite party and place them under the same microscope as the party you hate, and things become much clearer. Consider that BOTH parties are keeping the drug war alive. BOTH parties have failed miserably with our economy (probably because it's too big to actually control and needs to be split into more manageable segments). BOTH parties suck at education for a raft of reasons.

And BOTH parties are run by career country club politicians who live in an entirely different US than the rest of us, which was never supposed to happen. I appreciate the long ass laundry list here, but it proves little we didn't already know, that politicians can clog our nation with endless paperwork, meetings, sessions and bills. After reading this I am no more convinced that Hillary is blameless than I am that republicans plan to bring back slavery (absurd on it's face, but I have heard it said). What I wish I knew more about was why the ambassador (Stevens) was there and why it seems that absolutely no rescue effort was attempted. That alone makes me think that they were up to something and got caught. So even with the huge list of apparent discussions on the issue we still know nothing about the kernel aspects of this matter. We know more about the MLK and JFK killings, also mired in secrecy.

Folks, BOTH sides are playing games with our lives. Pick 1 at your own risk. Pick none if you want to look at this without the emotional party baggage.

Not to mention the letter that Rep. Walter Jones (R - S.C.) sent around calling for the withdrawal of any leadership candidate who committed any “misdeeds” that might “embarrass himself, the Republican Conference and the House of Representatives".
Of course, McCarthy denies the letter has anything to do with him pulling out of the race due to the affair he's almost certainly been having with Rep. Renee Ellmers (R - N.C.) since 2011.

Actually, the investigations have found there was as timely a response as possible.
That includes a rescue attempt that same night.

When us Democrats talk about Republicans not making sense and working against the best interest of the country, it's not in ignorance of the log in our own eye...

You made a point that there was basically no evidence of what happened in Benghazi.
My point was that there is plenty of evidence of what happened and explanations of exactly what went down.
It's not some big mystery.
The only reason it may seem that way is because of Republican activity.
I'm not saying that to be partisan, I'm saying it because it is the truth.
To be fair, there were a couple Republican lead investigations that sussed out the truth and said that Hillary had not been inactive and that action was taken to try to help those at the embassy.
But other Republicans refused to accept the findings of several investigations and have continued to hammer at trying to make Hillary look bad, as can be evidenced by their singular focus on her and not on what happened in whole.

Sorry, but the fact is that Republicans have acted much worse than Democrats on this, and many other issues.
