I think the dog food "Beneful" was one of the brands that was affected by the recall a few months ago. I just started noticing commercials for that brand today. Hopefully that whole mess is being cleared up. I had a discussion with my roommate about our dog that died. He had cancer and died last year, on labor day weekend. We wondered whether or not there were problems with certain dog foods before the recall ever took place. (We'll never know -- too late to do any testing for it.) We were feeding our dog "Iams", usually the canned stuff. Some of the flavors of that food were affected by the recall. I've read about pet food and how it's made otherwise. It's basically cooked garbage made from food that's not fit for human consumption. It's amazing that pets live on that.
