For a year of my life, I managed a Cigar, Wine scotch bar and store. It was located right next door to a ben and jerry's shop. Needless to say, on my afernoon bowl break, I'd always go get me a Chunky Monkey milkshake.
"Everything but the..." there´s THREE different kinds of ice cream in there! with ice cream, i like to have to chew it because there´s so much shit in there. but "Half Baked" is nice for it´s simplicity. as with a lot of things, i´d rather have a little bit of a good thing vs. lots of a mediocre/ok thing. for instance, smoking some great bud and drinking Naked Juice (what i´m doing right now)... i´d rather do this than, let´s say, smoke swchag and drink something called "orange drink." and i´d rather eat Ben & Jerry´s vs. a lot of other ice creams. (pints of Dove flavors are nice because there´s a layer of Dove chocolate on the top, but whatever)
Naked is the fuckin shit.. expensive... but very very tastey and good for you too... back to the OP.. Cherry Garcia all the way buddy....
I like ice cream period, but I usually add in a thousand things to whatever flavor I have. milk, peanuts, almonds, cashews, peanut butter, dash of some syrup, banana, vanilla, cookies, etc etc. I care more about the extra shit and how chunky I can make it
ben and jerry's is good, but theres other ice cream i like better. i prefer simply good quality to crazy new flavor concoctions..... dont get me wrong, i love the shit, but sometimes i just really prefer some good simple strawberry, or vanilla, or chocolate, or coconut. i used to work for a very small but very good chain called graeters, my first job back in highschool. better still than graeters is a local place thats only in the summer, they make all their stuff in the back. lots of good kinds of ice cream. graeters has a distinguishing characteristic in many of their ice cream...they're big on chocolate chips....but they're not just chocolate chips, as the chilled ice cream is stirred they pour melted dark chocolate into the mix, and it cools very rapidly in huge, thin chunks. black raspberry chip is the most popular, but i always liked their coconut chip best. while their chocolate chips are good, some of the flavors i'd still prefer without. like i said, i like simpler ice creams....i'd deal well with just plain coconut. but for wierd flavors i really like turtle tracks! not many companies make it though. or at least, i very rarely see it available when i want ice cream.
Yes, we have a local place around here that makes amazing icecream. They churn it instead of whipping it, or something like that, I'm not too well versed in making ice cream.
yeah, neither am i. the stuff for the store i worked for was made locally but not in my store. i know only the slightest bit about actually making ice cream...but in my experience local places that make their own aree usually better than most national brands.
B and J's free cone day is up there on my favorite days of the year. Everything But The... is my favoritttte
never been. had the chance. but never been... never bought the shit either. and i really don't have any idea why. i like the simple ice creams too Nesta, I love a good quality vanilla ice cream probably more then any of the crazy flavors with all the chunks and added business.
Strawberry is my all time favorite ice cream.. whether its the cheap shit or some high end stuff.. i just like strawberry flavored icecream
I like Ben and Jerry's all right, but it's more like eating cake than eating ice cream. There's too much stuff in there, but Cherry Garcia is really good. I have a feeling that within the first week weed is legalized, they will make a "natural herb" flavor.
I might just be biased because I was a Vermonter but all good things come from Vermont. For example, Ben and Jerry's, fantastic marijuana, maple syrup, the film Super Troopers, Magic Hat, lesbians, lake monsters... I could go on for days. Why did I move again?
