Bellingham, Washington doesn't suck. I disagree. I lived in Bellingham for 12 years, and I found it to be very accomodating, and a nice place to live. I lived out in the woods by Whatcom Falls Park, and it was peaceful and nice. I guess it is just where you live, and how you live that makes you like or dislike a city. I say Yeah Bellingham !!!!! I appreciate your perspective, but it is not the only one.
all cities are just places to get stuck when you have to eat in soup lines and sleep in homeless shelters. the're also places to go shopping, and ride trolly cars if they have them, eat at exotic restaurants when you get the chance, and enjoy university engineering libraries. of course more people living closer togather means more chances to run into, join organizations of, or form alliances with persons of similar interests to one's self. but they really are crappy places to live. all cities. not any particular one of them any more or less then any other. well i guess that really all depends on how you're comfortable living too of course. somethings you do have to go to them to get or mail order, but i would rather see strainge little furry creatures in my back yard then seeing them squished on the streets. =^^= .../\...
I would love to live up in WA again. Also, try living in Melbourne FL. theire is no way possable that bellingham is worse the Melboring - its just not possable.
when i lived on my boat in lake union, i went up to bellingham a number of times. it didn't seem to me like any more of a big deal good or bad then any other medium sized place like it. plus i loved all the green all over the place all the time. of course the green all the time was because it rained or misted very nearly all of the time too. people up around there used to say the world would end if the sun ever came out for more then a few days at a time. but meh, you get used to it, or you grow a layer of moss. never lived IN bellingham though, so i can't say anything about the politics or culture, which are of course the conditions that matter. even those though, what each person is happy and comfortable with, is, you know, for everyone different, eye of the beholder and each their own. =^^= .../\...
