HE IS NOT A MAN WHO IN YOUR SUNSHINE STANDS UNMOVED,

THOUGH CRAZED BY THE WINE OF YOUR BEAUTY

    - O WINE WELL PROVED -

WOULD YET FEIGN PROOF AGAINST HIS SHAKEN SOUL.

WHAT AM I TO YOU; IN YOUR EYES WHERE DO I STAND?

YET THE WORLD COULD CRUMBLE BEFORE YOU, AND I BEING BUT A MAN,

WOULD CLEAR A PATHWAY FOR YOUR FEET.

I WOULD BUILD ANEW A WORLD FROM SPLENDID RUIN,

I WOULD FETCH US AN OBLIGING MOON,

I WOULD CARVE MY HEART UPON HIS FACE,

I WOULD STAND MANLY FOR YOUR COMING GRACE.:)

Ocean Byrd, jamesphoenix2, and Moonjava - thanks very much for your kind attention.

In my youth, I was impressed most by A. E. Poe & E. E. Cummings.

Now that you mention it, that's how I stored it in my poetry file. All my older works are in caps - can't remember why.
