beginner to growing need help

Hi, I have a growing place of 2 x 2 x 2 feet
is this 250w light sufficient enough for it
also which reflector do you think i should get, im on a budget so obviously i would prefer the free one (i will be putting up mylar paper on the walls of the growing place) so does the reflector make that much of a difference

You need more vertical space.
The planter takes up a min. of 6", the light takes up a min. of 8" and the spacing between bulb and plant tops for a 250 is approx. 10".
6 + 8 + 10 = 22", almost 2'.
Not much space left for the plant.
You're gonna need AT LEAST 4' tall growspace, preferably more.

 

2x2ft for floorspace is fine, but you're going to need more than 2 feet for headroom. Plants + pots + light + ventilation = more than 2 feet. Also in that small an area you're going to need to spring to either an aircooled hood, or get a cooltube going around the bulb.

do you know if the timer it mentions is sufficient?
also i will need a thing that stops the timer shorting due to huge input of current

Hello Everyone,

Im gonna piggyback on this thread. I am interested in a grow room of my own.

The space available to build is 20ft by 8ft by 7ft height.

If you, the knowledged indoor grower, had this space to work with. What would your floor plan look like?When I am learned and know what Im doing, I would like to be able to produce about 3oz. a month.
Im going about this in a step by step process. I would like to be able to utilize what space I have to its full advantage.

Im sure there are threads in this forum already, and I have looked, honestly. A link to the posts would be most helpful. Thanks in advance.
