I want to start drinking. I'm on medication. I take depakote and serequel for manic depression disorder. I was wondering if if I start drinking beer, will it fuck with my meds.

Hi joker: with the depakote the usual advice is moderate like 3 or 4 per week, depending on how it reacts with the medicine in you. the seroquel is broken down in the liver, and so is the alcohol in the beer, so likewise, depends on how your body reacts. Are the docs checking your liver enzymes? Reckon you might want to ask the doc who prescribes your meds what they think. All the best, friend.

Why would anyone "want to start drinking"? I'm sorry if I'm being momentarily anti-hippie-ideology, but that is a terrible idea. If you get addicted, do you have any idea how hard it will be to stop?

We all neede emotinal security. Drinking is the only way I can get it so I do it. I can get consolation from religion or people, so I rely on brew.
