Tell us what countries in the world you've been to, how you liked it and what you did while you were there. If you can list them in order with your most favorite places first, descending to least favorite.

Only include countries that are foreign for you.

I've been to Canada, but only for a day to check out Niagra Falls. It was cool, but I'd like to spend more time in Canada as a whole.

I spent 6 weeks in the Dominican Republic this summer. It was amazing! I went to work with a church/school in a bario right outside of La Vega. We took some touristy side trips, and at the end we went to the beach...it was crowded, but it was really nice. Other than that, we worked...lol. It was really cool getting to just spend time with the people, eat the food, be imersed in the culture, etc...

Currently I am doing a trip throughout Asia and these are the countries I visited so far on this trip, in random order:

    - India
    - Bangladesh
    - Thailand
    - China
    - Hongkong (got a stamp there so I guess I can count it as its own country)
    - Tibet (okay, not really a country in itself, but I count it as one anyway)
    - Vietnam
    - Laos
    - Malaysia

    I've been to..........

India (spent a total of 7 months and two weeks there. Brilliant country, just completely crazy and so far removed from what I as a westerner was used to. Saying that though some places are getting touristy and India is not as poor as I thought before I went. Still I love it, especially Varanasi, Calcutta, Himachal Pradesh & Uttaranchal. Goa was nice up in Arambol, but some of the beaches look like fucking Benidorm.)

Nepal (spent a month and a half in Nepal. Nepal is another great country. It's a shame about the political troubles there. I was in one little village called Bandipur which was the most picturesque little place I've ever been. It was the business. Pokhara was more touristy but great for a party and lots to do during the day.)

Thailand (my trip to Thailand consisted of a 2 week drinking rampage in Bangkok. It was a great laugh. Very modern city, looked more like Toyko than what I had expected. **WARNING** Buckets of Samsoung and Redbull might seem like fun at the time but try drinking them every night for 2 weeks and see how you end up!!! I hope to go back and see a bit more of Thailand soon. Seems very very touristy in Bangkok and I heard alot of the Islands are the same.

Been around alot of Europe also but to lazy to write about that. Asia is more interesting anyway.

I will probably be in Malaysian Borneo at the time, although I might go back up north after I visited Sabah and Sarawak and returned to the mainland. But that will be around march probably.

I skipped Nepal and I do kind of regret that. Been to northern India and Tibet though, so that makes up for that a little.

Most of the Thai islands are a bit like Bangkok, I like to call them mini-Khao San Roads.
A nice one is Ko Chang though, I was there out of season and had most of the beach for myself. And a very beautiful beach it was. Pretty cheap accomodation too, I paid around 100 baht for a bamboo hut right on the beach.
Islands like Ko Tao, Ko Phangan and Ko Samui are pretty overdeveloped although you can find nice spots and remote beaches if that is what you are looking for.

I have travelled throughout South Africa (thank you parents!!!), lived in the US for over a year (interesting), stayed in Pittsburgh PA (less interesting, no offence), but absolutely loves Washington DC, Niagara Falls were spectacular, NY City was busy and crazy, loved Switzerland! Stayed with friends for a month...really get to see the local side of life which was really cool, loved the wall street bar in Lugano. The drinks are like stocks and the prices rise and fall like stocks. Have never paid so much attention to a ticker line! Germany was nice, Euro Park was great, it's the only theme park that I know of where you can buy litre draught beer.
Hey bird, am envious, sounds like you're on an amazing travel adventure! :)
