I think we summited San Gorgonio when I was in boarding school. We hiked around on it for awhile; that much is possibly true... I can't remember these specifics now.
crow's nest, near norden california, castle craig, also on top of the sierras, verdi peek, likewise but has a fire watch tower that i visited. all a very long time ago, when i was living in the general area of them. i'm not a climber really, but if i can walk to it, or even have to climb part way as long as its not like you have to be with a bunch of people with ropes and climbing hardware and all that. but i see a lot of people just mentioning towns at relatively high elevations. well the town were i live is one of those, and so are several, most for that matter, where i have lived. norden is at 7000 ft elevation. reno is, last i checked, 4000 and some odd. not sure i'd really count any place you can get to driving though. first time was sometime in the mid to late 1950s, when i was still a pre-teen, last time was in the 70s when i was a 20 something. don't think i've ever been on top one that wasn't within 50 miles of where i was living at the time though.
yeah i don't know. a few of them, but i don't really keep a list or anything. i'm pretty sure white top was the most recent. got caught in a thunderstorm up there, making it particularly memorable.
I've been on top of many, many mountains along the southern region of the Appalachian mountains Their peaks arent impressive, it's not really one of those where you memorize the mountain name so you can brag about how you scaled to the top. (But they're very ancient mountains and have a certain spirituality to them. 10/10. Highly recommend )
