I've never had a decent set of stuff for my bed, only time I have was living with girlfriends. So I figured it was time to get some nice stuff. So I bought:

    - a 650 count sheet set
    - quilt style comforter
    - 2 matching shams
    - a bedskirt
    - a mattress pad cover thing

And it all came to $250. Holy hell! I had no idea the shit was that expensive. I stood in the store for an hour thinking is this right?? And figuring out what the hell to get. That's unbelievable.

At least now I have a decent place to take the ladies back to :2thumbsup:

What kind of setups do you all have on your beds?

I have a nice, expensive comforter set with all the trimmings but I don't use it currently because of the dog getting on the bed.

As far as sheets go, I'm hooked on 800 thread count! That feels so good.

Aeri, I hear you. I have two dogs that jump on the bed but I figure screw it time for something nice. And it's a pretty heavy duty quilted comforter so whatever.

The sheets are crazy. I pulled them out to wash them and they are heavy as hell and so smooth. I'm pretty stoked on that.

Tyr, that's no joke. I had the cheaper stuff before but a full new set of all that shit would've been around $150. And the problem with that is the sheets weren't deep enough so they didn't fit the mattress right.

That shit is expensive. Where did you go to buy it? A big name store like Bed, Bath n' Beyond or Home Goods or something?

I have Target organic sheets and comforter set... nothing too fancy, but I am pretty committed to using organic cotton.

You're going to love the sheets, Dev.

and yeah, when winter comes I may put the big nice one on. It's not exactly new. The cats have already picked it some.

After all, the dog only tore up one of my bottom sheets and it was because of the bar of soap in the bed...for leg cramps...I didn't know she was gnawing through the sheets to munch on it.

During the summer I have a set of purple cotton sheets I got at Wal-Mart on clearance. During the winter I have two different sets of "soft-spun" sheets that are a bit thicker and warmer and orgasmically soft...that I also got at Wal-Mart on clearance (lol). My mother-in-law gifted us both our bed spreads and matching pillow shams, and during the winter I also have a quilt my grandma made of my grandpa's, mom's, and uncles' old shirts and a rainbowy afghan my great grandma made. And a big blue comforter, too (my room is drafty during the winter). And my favorite favorite part about my bed is the memory foam pillows. God...heaven

When I lived with my ex, she bought a fancy set of sheets for my bed. When I moved out, she demanded that I return the sheets, or else she wouldn't sign my name off of the lease. Even though my bed is a king and hers a full. I tore the fitted sheet when I tried to retrieve it from my storage unit, and had to pay the bitch $200 for one set of sheets.

But fuck if those sheets didnt feel amazing. I never knew the Pleasure of nice sheets till I moved in with that chick. Now I have a set of silk, satin, and a couple of expensive cotton sets by I can't remember what The thread count is or how much they cost. All I know is that they feel fucking amazing to roll around naked in

I paid almost $400 for the entire bedding set with matching curtains. The only crappy part, is the comforter is dry clean only.

Good bedding can be a little pricey but it also tends to wear well and you have it for a long time.

I love percale sheets and they have to be starched and ironed as well as my pillow slips. Nothing like skin hitting them and it feels like a little bit of luxury at the end of the day.

I have 7 feather pillows on my bed, mainly as I sometimes need to prop but also just because it feels nice. I use a health blanket which is super soft.

My duvet is down and I have a cover that matches my dust ruffle and valances. The throw cushions also match.

My bed is a calm haven for me....... I am worth it. :)

Dev, enjoy your new bedding!! :)
