My son's in Europe, w/a couple or three of his buds. He toured Bulgaria with his classical guitar group from school, and then met his friends, went to Turkey, Greece, and now Italy. They're in Rome now, and stopped to sleep at a hostel two nights ago. Soon after getting a room, they noticed these tiny bedbugs, and went somewhere else. Then, they noticed them there also, and one that was "sizable". Being late, they were quite worn out, but left anyway, and slept on a wall near St.John's Basilica.

He says when he gets home (two more weeks of traveling to go), he'll arrive in his underwear, and hand us a bag with all his things, to go to the back porch to get inspected. Bedbugs are no joke. They're almost impossible to get rid of, from what we've read, and can stay dormant for years in your clothes or your luggage.

    *shudder*

We stopped using pesticides strong enough to kill them years ago in this country. I read they've been making a comeback in some states.
You may as well just get rid of all your shit when you move if you get them.
