I never asked to grow old,

To become a burden to those around me.

I have just a few requests before I leave,

My eyes are asking you to look at the beauty of this world I cannot see,
My ears are asking you to listen to the sounds I cannot hear,
My feet are asking you to take the steps I am unable to take,
My lips are asking you to speak those words which I cannot speak,
My mind is asking you to recall those memories which have faded,
    My heart?

My heart is asking you to love me.
