Connecticut is a beautiful place, that's where I'm from originally. Madcap, were those last pics from CT as well??

 

Yup, from New Haven, Chapel st. bridge to be exact.

There use to be a trolley line that ran from New Haven to Guilford from about 1911 to the 1930's. In fact the worst trolley accident in New England took place on it in 1917. In fact here's the old NYT article about it, 19 dead, 50 injured:

But anyways, the old tracks ran through trails right by my old house, and here's the abandoned trolley bridge. I always found it a beautiful spot, just this giant bridge in the middle of the woods.

 

Wow, that's amazing. My hometown is Willimantic, just outside of the Storrs/Uconn area. I haven't lived there for years, but I've been back to revisit and I hope to take my family there again someday.
