Love that post 4, meagain. My first batch of cars was from the 30s--40s. If you smacked a fender with your fist--it would HURT. Nowadays you'd put a dent in the thin material. They put some IRON in those old ones!
Yeah, I remember some friends of mine bouncing a 50s era Chrysler of a concrete bridge three times. Chipped the paint on the car and took hunks of concrete out of the bridge. Probably around 14 gauge steel. Problem was they DIDN'T crumble. So your head did instead.
