Okay so I recently backcombed my hair And I was wondering, is it alright to put beads in whenever or will they fall out? Also do you need to take them out when washing?
what type of beads? wooden ones are oki to leave in white showering. not sure about that fimo(?)shiz as I don't have any them. some beads I put in when I first did my locks got kinda fucked as when they started looping up the bead would get held in a little dready prison if you get me? I've since taken all my beads and crud out and am only gonna put them in when I think they are good an mature. iii
Fimo beads are awesome. You can leave them on whatever you're doing They won't fall out if they are tight on your dread. Really easy to make yourself, make a ball of fimo, put a needle through the centre and roll it along a flat surface. Alternatively, SmellyD makes and sells fimo beads, so contact her, she might be able to help
I don't know what kind of beads, I just have a few friends that really like my new baby dreads and wanna put a couple beads in so I was just curious if they would fall out.
they won't fall out if they fit right. if they fall out, just put em back in. I wouldn't wear the fimo type beads in the shower, I was and they left my locks all gummy-weird.
I put a bunch of beads in my hair a couple of weeks ago, and the locks have been compressing, so whenever I wake up in the morning I find 1 or 2 that have fallen out
yeah it's devastating, fucks my whole day up (sarcasm) actually I can't be bothered most of the time to put them back in so I only have a few left in.
yeah, I actually put a bead on all of my locks to keep them together a bit, because they were totally falling out like mad, and I didn't want to use rubber bands, they worked quite well. The sections are pretty solid now so I don't mind if the beads come out- they've done their job!
Yeah beads would probably work a hell of a lot better than elastic bands, and they probably wouldn't get eaten quite so easy either.
if you use beads with a small enough hole theyll fit snuggly onto the hair orr, if (like some of mine) its rate thin by the root and then goes poofy at the end, use a bead big enough to get over the poofy if you squish the poofy bit,, but small enough to not come off when its poofy...... if you get me and as dragon said.. i do indeed make & sell fimo beads =] eta - i leave my fimo beads in my hair while i wash,, ive noticed no gummy crap, or residue or slime or anything at all
Yeah I took a look at some of your beads and they're really nice, But they're just not my style I'm looking more for wooden or glass.
I've had two beads in for three months each now and the hair inside of them and above and below on the dreads is reaaaally tight, it's wicked but I keep having to adjust them every few weeks. mine haven't fallen out, just find ones that seem a little too small but not too small, and they'll fit right on.
