I once saw a bumper sticker that said "I'd rather be here, now." The bus belonged to someone I met on this web site, too, come to think of it...
When I bought my first copy in the '70s the price was $3.33 I think that unusual price was a take on the symbol for AUM
i have been looking for a copy of this book for awhile now i guess i could order it online... i've heard great things about this book and i can't wait to read it!!! I probably won't get a chance until December when school is out...not enough time, but i am so eager!
I read this book when I was 18. It definitely has some good stuff in it. I watched the documentary Ram Dass: Fierce Grace. It has some good clips with Richard Alpert and Timothy Leary in it. Mostly it is about Ram Dass dealing with his stroke.
You can find this book for free on the internet in minutes and probably read it in 30. Oops, didn't say that.
an amazing work. i permanently borrowed mine from the local public library... after, of course, paying the customary 'lost book' fee
no doubt in truest spirit, alice...in need of a new copy myself... sent a sis cross country with it...don't think there's a library in AL in posession, however....
Heh, the hoover public library used to have one until I checked it out last june... still haven't returned it <_< and two other books, too; turning these in is gonna be a doozy for sure...
