I feel like textiles close the door so they aren’t seen naked, but nudists might not have that hang up. I never got into the habit of closing the door when I do anything in the bathroom. Sometimes someone asks me to close it and I’ll do it then, but otherwise I’ve always left it open. What about others?

  2. In public settings or if guests are around I always close it. When it’s just me and wife it’s open. We have three bathrooms, but if she’s in one I’ll go there so I can stand nude and pee in front of her. I even like watching myself pee in mirror.

What door? Oh, that one? I think it's gathering dust up in the garage loft.

Reminds me of the toilet at Bobo Hawk's Hawaii commune. She described it as completely open-air with no sight-barriers and installed on a high platform in the center of the compound.

I leave the door wide open, don't care who sees me. They are more than welcome to join me in the shower. Sharing showers is good for the planet.

I leave my bathroom door open. I only close when I have relatives over that don't approve of my nudity. Open door with nothing to hide.

Wife's friend caught me showering with the door opened. She keeps hinting about taking a shower together, should I?

I suspect she's concerned about minimizing water usage during the drought. Just tell her (and your wife) that you share her concerns.

We never close the bathroom door for anything at the new house, mainly because it's a tiny bathroom, so closing it feels claustrophobic. And as far as taking showers, the exhaust fan is terrible, so we keep the door open during showers for sure. Plus, as the previous house, we had this "modern" master bathroom that had a glass door, so we are used to no bathroom privacy.

Plus, doesn't everyone hold conversations with others in the house while they are taking a shower? Hard to hear sometimes, though, ha!

A couple of years my daughter and I were touring Europe on my bike and one hotel we stayed in had a most unusual feature. The room was in what would have been the loft and was huge but the shower was a glass box near the centre of the room! Actually directly visible from the room door should a chambermaid enter for room service! My daughter and I used it of course and she said we should get one! The drawback being is my house ain't that big lol!

Why did your daughter say you should get a glass-box shower for your house?

I suspect that many textiles (and also many nudists) feel that certain bodily functions should be strictly hidden from the sight of others even if that practice encourages false dignity.

We almost never close the bathroom door unless pooping (Sorry for crudeness). Showers are a common conversation place for our family

Maybe that's why your son began taking an interest in you. Seeing a naked woman right in front of him would usually be enough to make a guy sexually aroused, especially a teenage boy.

Very possible. We have always been very casual about dress in our household. My son was perpetually naked until puberty. My daughter still is though. Hubby is hit or miss. I hate clothes unless I'm leaving the house.

So you are often naked in the house around your son, but he usually wears clothes inside? Do you catch him looking at your body when you're naked just about every time you're naked in front of him?
