Hello, I am traveling solo next month to Indonesia, I'm going to Yogyakarta and Bali, if anyone has a recent experience going barefoot there in the city, restaurants, malls, museums, airports ...etc, do I have to worry about anything or is it generally ok? Also, is the temperature tolerable for going barefoot on asphalt during the day or is it too hot?

I went to Bali about 6 years ago and no problems at all going barefoot. At the hotel we stayed at, which was quite upmarket, footware would generally be required in bar and dining areas but otherwise going barefoot was totally accepted.
In the tourist type areas like Kuta I don't think being barefoot would be an issue. As the place is frequented by a lot of Australians who generally have a thing about going barefoot you would not be alone!
Weather would be tolerable. My experience is that it doesn't get so hot that it would preclude going barefoot.
Enjoy your trip. Bali is an interesting place.
