1) As often as I can. I can't go barefoot at work (I'm a surgeon) and I choose not to when I am with certain friends, but I almost always go barefoot when out by myself.

2) I start donning shoes in public when it drops into the 50s. I make barefoot runs from my house to my car in some of teh coldest weather we have here in NW Ohio.

3) Generally not if it's warm.

4) Yes. I find it entertaining to dodge security (I have a feeling they would be the people most likely to take offense to my bare feet).

5) All the time. Movies are one of my favorite indoor places to go barefoot. I have never had a problem form any cinema employee because of my bare feet.

Can't really say, for it depends on more than just air temperature. Whether it's wet or dry, whether there's been salt/brine used on the roads for that kind of slush is colder than regular snow, whether it's windy or not, how long I'll need to be out for... but last winter I've worked outside most of the day in temperatures below freezing with a couple inches snow on the ground, without shoes, although I did wear 'barefoot gaiters' covering the top of my foot and they do have a strap of fabric underneath the sole to keep them in place. But no full sole, entire heel/ball/toes were on the ground.

No.

Haven't been to one shod since I started going barefoot nine years ago.

Rarely go to the movies but when I do, yes.

My mom is sometimes bothered by what people think, but she's accepting it more and more. Still she doesn't really like it when people comment so I often wear a long skirt and/or barefoot sandals when I'm going anywhere with her.

Most of my current friends have never seen me with shoes, so they're pretty much used to it.

Nowhere in particular, but I like rough surfaces better than soft stuff. Soft stuff is nice in a warm, cozy way but I get much more of a kick out of noticing how tough my feet are when I walk gravel or rough asphalt or the like.

Just classical concerts, a few. I don't care to go out much, I'm a hippie in many ways but I've never been to music festival or even a pop/rock/etc concert in my life... I listen to many different genres of music but I don't like the crowds or the excessive volume at such happenings.

I also like walking around on scorching hot asphalt. My sole pads get wet with sweat in the summer and the hot pavement helps to dry them.

Reggae on the River (lots of river rocks of different sizes), Whole Earth Festival (grass, gravel paths, hot streets), Earthdance, Burning Man, Joshua Tree Music Festival, Hose Down Festival (coarse gravel dance area), California World Music Festival, and many others. At all the spring/summer/fall festivals around here it's common to see many barefoot people, mostly farmgirls and hippie/alternative lifestyle women and men.

1) How often do you go barefoot during the warmer months? Same as I do in the winter months. Which for me is at work, at home, in the car. I wear my flip flops outside walking around, except for once in a while when I feel like it.

2) How cold does it have to be until you will wear shoes? I would have to see my toes turning blue before I trade my flip flops in.

From April to October essentially all the time. Am lucky enough to be able to get away with it at work too.

2) How cold does it have to be until you will wear shoes?

If I need to wear a coat then I'll be wearing footwear of some kind. I go barefoot because I'm most comfortable that way but I'm not a fan of the cold. Temperature ? I guess low single figures (in centigrade).

Assuming this and the rest of these answers refer to the 'warmer months' referred to in question 1.) then no, I don't.

I was buying a magazine last August when the girl (I'd guess early 20's) behind the counter asked me where my shoes were. I just told her I'd never been a fan of shoes. She said: "So you don't wear any anywhere ? That's COOL !"

A couple of years ago I was walking off a tube (subway) train and some idiot in a train waiting to depart on the opposite side of the platform yelled: "You f*cking faggot ! I'll walk all over your feet !" I think he was drunk. He was certainly a thoroughly objectionable moron. I gave him a look which, hopefully, conveyed a significant degree of the contempt that his behaviour had earned. Despite the doors remaining open for ample time for him to attempt to 'walk all over my feet' as he had threatened, he chose not to do so. It would have been interesting to see him try. I am 6 feet tall and weigh a solid 200lbs plus and would certainly have defended myself against any unprovoked assault of this nature. Not a very pleasant experience but I didn't lose any sleep over it.

I havent worn "shoes" in a while, I usually wear flip flops even when its cold.

Usually, im trying to wean myself off of that, ive been to a few fast food places barefoot.

Actually thats one of my goals and its something ive wanted to do for a while, just need to get up the courage to do it.

I never actually walked in barefoot but I do kick off the flips once im inside, I sometimes worry about cameras inside seeing me barefoot or some attendant walking by and noticing my bare feet.

A day at least.
7) What do your parents think about your barefooting?
They dont really approve of it and they try to make me feel guilty by joking to my relatives and calling me insulting things like jungle boy and they try to scare me and say im gonna cut my foot and get some infection from it because I dont have this shot or that one, its not my fault they didnt take me to get those.

Most of my friends dont know I go barefoot.

Some of my ex's liked it when I was barefoot alone with them

Mostly the demeaning stuff my parents say to me.

No, I prefer to leave my feet as is.

I used to, now only do it when I go to interview for jobs and when doing one.

No, I wish I had the courage to do it but knowing my luck itd ruin the date.
