Hey Everyone, So I’m new here and new to the barefoot lifestyle well I’ve been barefoot since April and in that time I’ve seen 2 others out and about in bare feet and that was at the seaside! So I was wondering am I alone or do you all congregate in secret.
Like you noticed, it probably depends on where you are. I see barefoot kids more frequently than adults. On lakes/rivers/coastal places, there's a good chance to see them. I live in a college town, so I'll see someone in their 20s a few times/year at coffee shops etc. Live music events bring out bare feet in town. Other than that, it's pretty rare. I don't ever get any of the negative stuff that I read here though. I did as a teenager in New England, but I guess we live and let live a little better in Louisiana.
As you've noted we are without a doubt in the minority. If there are any secret meetings going on I have yet to be invited...
I know how you feel but it also depends on where you live. Where i live i know of two other's that are full time barefooter and they live and work but i have never ran into them. But i do know that I'm always barefoot and I'm barefoot all year around in snow rain heat what ever the weather is I'm barefoot. I have notice that some of the people on the street are now mowing there lawns barefoot and they where the same one when they moved in . Said to me i should be wearing shoes or boots when cutting the lawn. All i said yes but i do not wear sock or shoes and i haven't wore socks or shoes in the last 27 years. I have been barefoot that long and i will be barefoot even when i die . They said oh and they just walked back to there house and that was that no hi how are you I'm so and this is my wife so and so. But no but today i saw him mowing the lawn barefoot and his wife cleaning the drive way in her bare feet. The summer is over but it's still great barefoot weather.
i don't congregate with anyone based on their footwear preference. except croc wearers, those nuts are specifically not invited.
actually i'm indifferent to crocs too, i just had to think of someone to single out and crocs make an easy target.
We’re just a rare breed..How have you found your first few months? It’s now too cold for me so my bare feet have been put away until spring, in public at least
