First barefoot girl of the year! Walking along with her shod boyfriend. The thing is, I go barefoot all the time now. Wasn't jealous. DIdn't get excited. Just...oh. Somebody else barefoot. Fuck.
As I was driving home from work the other day (barefoot of course), I caught a glimpse of a barefoot gal getting into her car. It made my whole day. I had a fleeting fantasy that we somehow met and and became barefoot buddies (and more, lol). Silly I know, but it is so rare to see another barefooter around here.
Saw one today while I was walking through my neighborhood. She was out, walking barefoot, and I noticed her soles were dirty, so I know she goes barefoot at least some of the time. Maybe there are more of us than we think.
Done it so many times. Its so easy. You got a girl your cool with as friends just be like hey lets go for a barefoot hike its fun. Got to the point in my life I dont care, and was a good thing. Being awkward about bare feet are fun was worthless. Come on on its fun lets go hike around barefoot down the street. Most chicks say ok lets go take them shoes right off.
They might give you that little but of argument they worry about callouses and all that BS from the beauty industry $ selling this and that that soft feet is where its at. I just say BS dont give me that followed by any one of the pro barefoot arguments we all know. We are not unique in liking to go barefoot. I think everyone kind of does. We are unique cause we go ahead and do it.
That's my greatest fantasy: to find a woman and say "Hey, let's go barefoot!" and she says "YES!" The hunt continues....
you American barefooters need to get yourselves down to New Zealand......you'd be drooling everywhere! ....so funny reading about how infrequently you see anyone in bare feet!
You know it's NOT RIGHT to mock your starving brethren! (Your street address is...I'll be arriving barefoot so you know it's me!)
I do often wonder why the cultural difference in the attitude toward going barefoot in public between USA and Australia/New Zealand....essentially we both come from an English heritage and lineage, but somewhere along the way our social norms deviated. We see being barefoot as "freedom" and "independent thinking" , while Americans see it as "trashy" (generalising obviously).
I totally agree. It's accepted in Europe (other than parts of Spain and Italy) and NOT accepted in the DisUnited States. Amerika is NOT the Land of the Free--it's quite prudish and centrist (read conservative), and we are "free" only to feel able to tell everybody else what the hell to do and where the hell to go if they don't do that. After a while, it does become mentally exhausting--just say "Fuck it. I'm going barefoot."
I saw a mum with four barefoot children in tow visit a Chipotle here in Southern California last October. No shoes in sight! We weren’t near the beach or anything, but apparently letting kids go barefoot is becoming a health funda here. No one batted an eye - most folks just thought they were cute. It's time to discard our kid's shoes! The simple joys of being barefoot | HerFamily.ie
I'm in UK and well I've had zero sightings this year and that kind of makes me feel a little bit upset but my feet are bare and I'm enjoying the lovely weather we are having.
I have not seen anyone barefoot yet this spring. Also not many people outside or going anywhere with stay at home orders. Soon bare feet will be around.
