Barefoot Dining

  1. I've started going to neighborhood restaurants barefoot and rather enjoy it. I assume there are many types of ethnic retaurants that wouldn't fuss over bare feet (Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Indian, Vietnamese, Mexican). Has anyone had particular success at any individual ethnic type (not counting fast-food chains)?

Well, here in the Netherlands it's never any problem, including in the American chains like McD's or Burger King (apparently McD's 'company health department' policy only covers the US). But I also remember reading about a few restaurants in the US that specifically advertise with barefoot dining, I think there were a few Japanese places mentioned before, perhaps in an old thread on here?

I'm had success in Indian restaurants. I'm often seen barefoot, in the lotus position, eating chana masala and naan. People don't seem to mind. :)
