I’m a long time barefooter and I have no use for shoes but the longer I’m barefoot I want to be naked and now I have no use for clothes and I feel being naked reduces stress and anxiety. So my question is did you barefooters turn into nudists.
I feel I've become more of a nudist around my home lately when it's just me and my lover. I used to wear just underwear around here when I had no company but nowadays I seem to stay naked when I'm home.
Now that I think about it I was at first always barefoot. From there I wore less clothing. By my late teen years I was naked every chance I got.
I'm naked now. I guess I don't give it much thought. I don't go naked in public. I do go barefoot in public.
I am always naked at home in the Summer, often in my garden too. Barefoot whenever I can. I just like the freedom.
I'm not naked either, but barefoot, jeans and shirtless for sure. Don't need to run my AC if I'm shirtless.
I agree with the OP; that's how it went for me too. I've found joining a "clothes optional" club has helped massively with confidence too. So the answer's yes.
I don't like the feeling of anything on my feet. Nor do I like wearing a shirt. Shirts and shoes just bother me. I do like wearing hats, though. Some people hate wearing hats. You can't see my feet in this pic, but trust me, they're bare. (Hey, that rhymes!)
Always had a little fascination with feet particularly female ones. Then I guess it was the minimalist shoes marketing blitz and barefoot running thing that hit the internet like 10 years ago that lead to the idea to try and toughen my feet and go without shoes. That feeling that my feet were too fragile quickly went away as I sort of expected since like a billion people in the world do just fine without shoes. What I did not expect is after getting back the natural ability to navigate the world barefoot (a natural ability that shoes ruin) and getting used to it that it would then cause me hate wearing shoes. I read several threads in the nudism naturalism forum, interesting and cool, sounds like you all have fun with it but I have never had any desire to go naked. I got over the bit of shyness of being barefoot "to far" from a beach or pool pretty quick, suppose maybe the same could happen with going nude but really I have no desire for going nude so with me barefooting and nudity are not connected.
I think for me and probably many others barefooting was my gateway into nudism. Hard to explain really but one day I wondered "What would it be like to be bare all over?" And I was hooked it felt great.
Well......the hotter it is, the less clothes I wear. I don’t ditch my boxers, but I hate the crotch in them , so I cut it out. It’s a waste to wear a lot of clothes and then turn up the A/C. I don’t believe barefootedness had anything to do with wearing less clothes. After all, every boy would love to run thru the woods naked....LOL!
I have had this thought too as it does seem to be a trend. Barefooting is the gateway drug to nudism. It wasn't so much a gateway for me as just sort of happened at the same time.
I don't have AC (it's not a very common item) so summertime home nudity is kind of a must because it gets pretty damn hot here (can go up to 100 F°). Doesn't go past the domestic habit for me.
Rock! If you'd like to find them again, they're called buffalo sandals. I used to get them from hippie shop dot com. EDIT: Sorry, I read 'have' as 'had.' But yeah, they were super comfy, once worn in.
