The joys of winter, It was one degree celcius this morning and my bare feet were finding the combination of cold and sahrp gravel a little challenging.

For the full-time barefooters out there, how cold is too cold for you?

i'm not a full time barefooter, but for me it depends on a few factors. specifically, the surface i'm walking on and the presence or absence of snow/moisture.

in the winter, i mostly only go barefoot back and forth to my apartment complex laundry room a couple buildings over. which means walking on a lot of cement. which is fine to probably a little below freezing, unless it is wet or snowy, in which case it hurts. grass can go colder, with the same snow/moisture restrictions.

really, what i remember doing over the past winter was pulling on boots if there was snow on the ground, and not bothering if there wasn't. but there were a few times i ended up running back to my apartment because my bare feet were hurting.

    I'm not really 24/7 full-time, but -10 C (=14 F) is the point where I stop pushing my luck.
