i know its not necessary to wash dreadies every day but would washing your hair in baking soda as a daily washing solution encourage or hinder the locking process? i tried it for the first time last night and it worked wonders. my dreadlets got tighter and it just seems more presentable. just plain old curiosity here.
There are no rules. Some people want to wash every day, some just every so often. I'd say just wash as often as you feel you need to. For me, baking soda gets pretty drying for my hair, but it is easy to get addicted to.
i wash with water almost everyday, but i only wash with baking soda about once a month. its nice once in a while, but kind of a hassle. dreads are supposed to be low to no maintenance. so in short,... less is more.
Thats all i do, i noticed since i stopped washing with soap, my hair dried up and began to knot a hell of a lot more
Never used Baking Soda or ACV ... not even sure what the hype is about, but logic tells me that it would cause the scalp to dry out. Must be a Western thing ... LOL ... Never heard about it until I moved to the UK ... Hemp or aloe shampoo is the widely used 'approach' back home
