hey everyone!i had to kill a badger that some tosser had run down and kept going, not bothering to check if the poor beast was in pain or what.when he was dead,i contemplated bringing him home and skinning him for his pelt, which was beautiful,i might add.i was in two minds about this ,and eventually pushed him off the road, out of sight ,out of mind.would it have been that bad,to at least have something beautiful in the world ,a kind of memory of the said badger, who otherwise has died for absolutely no reason?if anyone has any ideas or suggestions on this or similar topics iwould appreciate some feedback.
do you know how to skin an animal? i'd say do it, but ask a local taxidermists about curing the hide so it doesn't rot
i lskinned a stoat a few weeks ago, also roadkill, but fresh enough and more importantly ,cold.the fact that the badger was still warm kinda put me off the idea of handling it.i learnt to do it off the net.its a nice pelt, but youd need an army of em to find any practical use.i presume a badger pelt would be pretty much the same gig
Yeah, skin him. A badger pelt is a pretty good prize. You could make a traditional Scottish sporran out of it!
