how come there are so many bad therapist ones was laughing and playing around when. I was speaking to her on the phone why does that profession attract so many horrible people
I think that profession has always drawn the psychotic types. I have known several, but never seen one professionally. They are just people, after all, people going through therapy themselves.
Someone needs to make a “rate my therapist” service or app that also correlates if their practice has a pattern of unethicalness, or part of a weird network of referencing psychologist to specific psychiatrists they’re cozy with in referring up the chain of the medical system. Of course you have to have a counter system to filter out false complaints that aren’t true (yelp has this criticism of it, that it lets anybody critique feedback without verification of the bad experience as a consumer) but I don’t know if therapists and psychiatrists have that.
