I just bought 7 grams of shrooms, and when i opened the bag where they were in, they smelt pretty bad (like if you didnt wash your feet for a week, kinda vinigerish). I was wondering if they might have mold or other bacteria growing on them that may be dangerous or if most shrooms smell like this. If the mold makes my stomach a little sick i dont care cause it was fucking hard to find these shrooms and ive wanted to do them for a long ass time. THnaks

Sounds like you have some moldy shit. I would not eat those. Mushrooms are supposed to have (surprise!) a mushroomy smell.

    Yeah, mushrooms smell like mushrooms,
if you ate those it would not be healing,
    but the complete opposite.

Do you care about your health?

Mold, fungus, is extremely bad for you
even if you don't feel immediate effects.

You would be extremely stupid to eat any of them.

Idk, they dont smell that bad, like a little vinigerish, sorta like food. Like there blue and black, but that is probably from the psilocin...you know. I just talked to my friend who bought shrooms of the same guy today, and he said there fine, but maybe those mushrooms werent contaminated i dk. Ill try and post some pictures

I know you're excited, but don't eat any of them. Some of the molds that grow on mushrooms can kill you.

Doesn't matter, you said they smelled, and are black and blue.
    Not good, mate.
    You learned your lesson.
    Next time, be smarter.

    Those weren't even hydroponic,
you live in the south? they look like picked cubensis from cow poo.
If they smell bad, don't eat them.
Most people don't care about their health, though
    eating mcdonalds and shit.

Well I think I was talking about how they look like natural mushrooms rather than the kind that grow in closets. Which isn't a bad thing, but it definitely makes them more susceptible to mold growth. They don't LOOK bad, but if they smell bad, then that's bad. I'm done warning. Do what thou will shall be the whole of the law.

While I agree with the premise that strange-smelling mushrooms should not be consumed (When in doubt, toss them out!), I'm not sure I agree with the idea that home-grown mushrooms are less susceptible to contamination, though a home grower would likely have a trained eye to identify contamination and deal with it appropriately.
The theory is that a sterile environment allows contaminants an easy chance to compete with the mycellial growth of the mushrooms being cultivated, whereas in nature, the environment is typically less favorable to certain mold and bacteria. Basically, it's a war between competing fungi and contaminants, and the strongest wins, beating back the competition. Where cubes grown in their natural environment, they are obviously at an advantage to flourish and win such battles. Thoughts?
