Two weeks ago, I was stretching before working out and I felt a little sting in my lower back. My body was pretty warmed up so the pain was moderate, and I went on to pump iron upon iron in spite of the pain. I get home, take a shower, and like lightining in blue skies, I could not move. I was feeling the kind of paralysing pain you do not feel everyday. My first reaction was to lay down, and even that was not a very easy proposition, but eventually I was able to slither into bed sideways. Then it took me a half hour to get to the restroom when I needed to go. While I was up, I took certain measures: I left the door open in case I had to call my aunt to take me to the hospital, I called my boss to let her know I would not be coming to work the following day, I got food, water, my cell, reading material, and all the phone numbers I might possibly need...and then, slept. The next day I was able to cop a few muscle relaxers, and got better. --------------------- Two weeks afterwards, I am functional, but still unable to exercise. I fear this will never go away. I might call the doctor. ------------ When was the last time you felt agonizing pain? Did you get the feeling it would never go away? How did you react? Can you add a joke to this post?
i haven't felt what i would consider "agonizing pain" in some time. i had some mysterious stomach cramps not long ago, but agonizing would be an overstatement. i usually just smoke some pot and feel 90-100% better.
I got snowed in at a friend' house a couple of months ago and slept on the most uncomfortable pull out sofa bed ever known to mankind. After four days of that, I developed the worst cramp in my neck. Anytime I turned my head a sharp shooting pain would shoot from my neck down the length of my spine. I too copped a couple of muscle relaxers and felt better the next day but ever since then I wake up every morning with a stiff neck.
My back permanently aches because I've been sleeping on this fuckin couch everynight for over a year. lol It's all lopsided and shizz, so my back's all twisted up. I had to take a few xanax's today so I can at least relax and be comfortable.
I get a pretty bad back ache every month. Sometimes it leaves me in tears. Back aches suck. Hope you get better soon.
go to the hospital. get a shot of Toradol... Ask for toradol, I guarantee you will get it. It will not get you high,. But it will take the sting out a back pain .. /chances are you will get no narcotics /
Ice. Ice your back for 10 minutes then move it around and let it sit there for 10 minutes. Then move it around some more. You'll know where. Do it for AWHILE.
I get bad pain in my foot sometimes when I over-walk. There's this tendon under my ankle that gets strained or something and causes major trouble. It has gotten to the point where I won't be able to walk until I rest. It's the strangest thing, my brain just shuts down my leg, and I can't move it forward. I guess it's because of endorphins; but both times that's happened the pain didn't even seem that bad.
Wh3en it comes to things of a medical nature, I find it best to see a doctor rather than asking random strangers on an internet forum
Whenever I get an ulcer, I have chronic pain for weeks on end with no relief...then they give me antibiotics that take the pain away but make me miserably nauseous and tired. According to my brother, "Life is pain"
umm...he's pretty emo but I think he just hates the world in general. He has a tattoo that says "Smiling is just a phase."
haha, have you tried explaining to him the irony in permanently marking himself with the claim that something is "just a phase?"
