I was just about to make this thread. So I'm almost done with my first day of classes. I'm taking Bio 101, hoping to learn some cool stuff since I haven't studied any biology since I was 15. And women's studies 101, which I hope will be interesting but at the very least it should bring my GPA up. I'm taking an english class about film (we don't have a film dept), that I am super excited about, mostly because it's my last class so I can blaze and then go watch a movie. I'm taking analytical chemistry although currently not enrolled there is usually no shortage of pussies eager to drop such courses. And I'm going to take differential equations and try not to fail a second time. Should be a pretty challenging semester. This summer I got a huge boost in academic motivation as I completed two semester of organic chem in two months. Oh and I'm trying to squeeze physics 2 (electromagnetism and optics, w/ calculus) in there but I really don't want to.
awesome i'm living vicariously through you fyi haha good luck w/the challenges ahead and enjoy that film class, that's pretty sweet
Haha, don't assume this, unless you know for sure. I took a third year course called Gender Studies and it was one of the hardest courses of my life, extremely deep analytical and abstract thinking and the texts we had to go through were sometimes ridiculous. Fantastic course though, opened my eyes big time. I have a pretty kick ass schedule in the fall, all my classes are on monday! (and one class thursday). sociology of punishment, intro to buddhism, and philosophy of language. i'm excited that its my last year and its coming up fast and im sad that its my last year
computer science 1040 (intro....stupid visual basic) english 2510 creative writing: intermediate fiction french 1200 (elementary french 2) aaaand sociology 1650: sociology of deviance should be a cool semester, but french is gonna be a little intimidating i think
Freshman English I Humanities Through the Arts Civilizations of the World to 1500 Beginning Algebra (so bad at math) cant really complain about my schedule, not very interesting but at least my earliest class is 12:30...
Yeah, me 2. Advice to Freshmen: Don't major in Philosophy, or you will end up doing way too much LSD... 'course, most of y'all have already done way to much LSD...
Ha. Im still in high school. Im a junior. Im in Theatre Arts I, U.S. History Honors (so boring), Geometry I ( I hate math with a passion.), and NJROTC ( not use to the Navy, cause Ive been in the Army for 2 years, but we moved...) And I dunno what classes I have next term.
shit! does that mean that you could help me with organic chem next year (granted we're both still here)?!
My new classroom this year: And just one of the 4 studios I will be working in: Unfortunately I do not start until 9/20, but I'm super fucking stoked.
audio engineering school neuro? My brother attended SAE in Nashville. and my cousin is attending it now.
My loans got all sorts of fucked up from last semester and canceled. So I owed 5000+ dollars. But thank god I have the spirit and soul of a hustler because I came up with the money in about a week and paid that shizzz offf on Monday... but now I dont have any of the classes I registered for, but that's never been a problem, I love to bullshit my way into a full class I love school
I know right? :cheers2: Yep, Mediatech Institute here in Houston. First time in my life that I wish my school year started earlier haha.
