So I was seeing stuff in Washington DC last week. I had a lot of fun. I wanted to protest and stuff, but I didn't cause my family was there and everything. I went to a whole bunch of museums, which are all free, and to some concerts. I saw this awesome bluegrass jamband called The Waybacks, and they were amazing... All the museums were great too. We saw some of my dads friends there from highschool, as well. I was really surprised at how the city was, cause it was a really beautiful city, and there was so much amazing stuff there, and a lot of more left alternative people. There's a really big gay area, called dupont circle, and we were there quite a bit, cause its a cool, hip neighbourhood. Anyway, politics (and the huge amount of homelessness i saw) aside, it was a great place. I'm usually kind of scared by the states, cause politically, its pretty insane, and there's a lot of crazy people down there, but this seemed like a great place to live; it reminded me of ottawa (canada's capital) and its somewhere i could see myself living. Anyway, I thought I'd post about that...and, my mom decided to stare down the guard at the white house...and the huge guy with sunglasses looked away before she did...hahah..
I was there last week too man. Yea its a cool place, I checked out probaly the same mueseums you did, Art, American history? I really like that whole area.
