Hey, I was wondering if anyone knew what might help for my back ache. Its been hurting all week but yesterday it became so bad i was reduced to tears and driven home.. I don't know whats caused it, but i even resorted to take a pain killer to reduce the pain and that hasn't work one bit. If you have any suggestions i really could use some, i really can't sleep to well or sit or walk without pain. xxx
I hope you are better, I just read your first post and was going to suggest you have a urine test. If you haven't hurt your back, and have nonresponsive back and flank pain, UTIs are the main diagnosis. Drink lots of water and take your meds. They gave you an antibiotic and some good pain medications didn't they? I hope you are feeling better.
they sent of a sample to the labs as they wanted to make sure, so i should hear from them soon and if their suspions are correct i am getting antibiotics... i have been drinking water and cranbery juice, i know cranberry juice is mainly for urine infections but i thought i would give it ago and see if it helps. as for pain relief doctor just said, take paracetamol.. which i wasn't keen on but when it gets really bad i have taken one. cHeers for your help!!!
My bet is that you do have a kidney infection. I got one a couple years ago and I don't believe in going to the doctors, so I just ignored it for probably close to four weeks until the pain got so bad it hurt to breathe. When I finally did go to the emergency room, the doctor told me that the infection was the worst he'd ever seen and that if I had waited a couple more days before coming in, I'd be in surgery getting my kidney removed at that moment. Awesome! So they gave me a shot in my hip that made me go into shock because they hit a nerve or something. That's always good too. I learned a lesson: having intimate relations outside can be dangerous... not dangerous to not do it again though! Hope you feel better!
DB, keep drinking the Cranberry Juice. Usually when your kidney gets infected, you get a bladder infection, too. There is a substance in Cranberry juice that prevents bacteria from "sticking" to the sides of your bladder, and it certainly can't hurt your kidneys. All you got was Para? Gyped! I'd lobby for something stronger, the pain of a bad UTI can be nasty.
