hello everyone! I have a few questions on baby showers... My mom wants to throw me a baby shower sometime with-in the next 6 weeks and has told me to make a list of people to invite... Well who do I invite? Most of my friends do not have kids and are not really into kids (plus since i have been pregnant we have kinda lost touch) Do I invite them anyway? I know basic family, mine and my boyfriends.. but is there anyone else... I feel like such a loser because I have very few friends... I was hoping to find new people with children when I start my childbirth classes in two weeks but is it okay to invite people I meet on short notice if we seem to get along? Also I am lving withmy mom, well sort of I live in her attached garage turned room but i use her kitchen and stuff... is it okay for her to throw me a shower? I don't want it to look like we are just asking for presents...
definately invite your friends! I invited so many people to mine, lol. I wasnt begging for presents or anything, most of my friends didnt have kids but they still loved to buy baby things and were excited just to celebrate my pregnancy with me. I say invite everyone you can think of, especially aunts and relatives like that, women LOVE baby showers! Make it a big event.
Umm.. not all women LOVE baby showers. I always hated them, ergo I refused to have one. I think it depends on the type of woman. Invite everyone female you know. Friends and Family, people you know from work, your Mom's friends...even if they don't come, there is no harm in asking them. Its totally fine for your Mom to throw you a shower. Who else would do it?
