Surprised not to see a topic about this!

I've been listening to this album for a few days now, in my car driving to work and stuff, and I have to say, it's a pretty decent effort!

I mean, I love Chris Cornell's vocals anyway, but I think he's singing better than ever on this record!

It's got a very hard, funky edge too, which I like!

    Any thoughts?

he is such a pussy anymore since he went to audioslave...... he doesn't sing anywhere near the way he did with soundgarden. I've lost alot of respect for him because of it.

I only checked out their debut, which I think is just ok. I liked his vocals there though, so I'm gonna check this one out.

I can't get enough of this album right now! Definitely their best album to date... by a long way!

Like I said before, i'm loving Chris' vocals on this one... like his Soundgarden voice crossed with some Otis Redding! haha awesome! [IMG]

    Explain what you mean.

I said the quality of his vocals are akin to around 1994, when he was in Soundgarden. Not that he is trying to sing in the style of Soundgarden again.

    Thanks for your input.

I mean that since he left soundgarden, he as a person has changed. the subject matter of his music has changed. it seems as if he is trying to sing to please the teeny-bopper crowd, and only trying to make money, nothing else.

I think they sound like they've got out abit of a musical rut. Put in a bit creative juice and got funky and gone with the groove. And his voice sounds alot different, in a good way. Definitely better than their last effort and maybe the best.
