I tried it twice - both times for surgery. Didn't like it at all - looked weird, adult male parts without hair. Also it felt itchy when growing back in.
Care to expand on that? I tried it once too. It made me get pretty turned on but it itched pretty bad coming back in. Almost to the point of despair. But I'm wondering how it would be like with continued shaving; like if the skin grows accustomed to it, did it cause more hair to grow, etc.
It itched the whole time. I got a little visible razor burn bumps, but quite major itching the whole time. Once my hair grew in, I was itch-free and happy again. Plus, I only shaved to try it out because it's the look these days, I think it looks gross =P
Been shaving for about 11 years and would never go back.. I was not hairy to begin with, and prefer this look much better, as does the wife also. We both shave everything below the neck.
I shave my pubes the same way I shave my face, shaving cream and a good razor. I never get razor burn, and I never itch.
I first shaved my pubes when I was 10, as I was an early developer & didn't understand what it was all about, as none of my friends had them. Once they started to develop them as well, I let them grow. Then, when I was about 17 I had to be shaved when I had my appendix out (the male nurse, co-incidentally being one of those former classmates). Some years after that I would shave on regular occasions, merely because I like the look & feel of it. Then, when the pubes turned grey, as with the rest of my hair, I couldn't stand how that looked, so off they came once again, and I've kept them smooth ever since. As for taking up too much time - it's just a weekly going over whilst in the bath - no time at all.
Hey Pine, gramps saw your note, laughed an said, "that bastard's lying. I'm 75 and neer seen a white hair down there. Prob just an excuse to keep it slick!" Any comment?
Did it when I was around 15 out of curiosity. This was before I had facial hair, so my rookie shaving skills left me with loooots of ingrown hair, and even after I took care of those it itched for near a month. I usually just trim now, but occasionally if I let it get too long, it's refreshing to get rid of the pubes completely. I am now masterful at removing ballhair.
Gramps is right. Grey/White hair seems to migrate south. My beard went from salt & pepper to now mostly white. My chest is still salt & pepper and occasionally I will find a white pube, but it is easy to see in my dark brown bush. I have seen white pubes on guys in the nursing home but they are usually over 80 or 90. But, it could be an individual thing, like my younger cousin who has a head of white hair in his 40s.
As well as shaving every week, I also have an additional tradition, where I shave on Valentine's Day, and then let it grow for 6 weeks (or 6 weeks & a day, if a Leap Year) until my birthday, on 28th March. The following link is a shot taken after 6 weeks growth, just before being returned to its shaven state. Despite there not being much in the way of fully grown pubic hairs at this point, the greyness is clearly visibile even at this early stage. http://erotictotheend.110mb.com/images/2009%20%20Before.jpg
im hair free ^.^ and i can tell you its very comfy for the first few shaves, it can be itchy, but with a little time and some simple steps of prevential these problems can be avoided
I shave my balls and trim the rest really close, really close. It feels better and I think it looks better than to have a jungle down there. Also, when having sex it feels so much better...being able to feel her juices run down the shaft and down the balls. And the way it feels when you're balls deep in a pussy and feeling the bare skin rub agaisnt bare skin...it's fantastic. And I think girls prefer to suck a dick that is trimmed and cleaned up than sucking a jungle cock. But maybe I'm wrong.
