The Aquarian World Vision Center is meant to be an experiment in the application of this pro-scientific, anti-mystical philosophy.
To have a sensible discussion here, I guess we need to define "hippie", which is at least as difficult as defining "God" or "atheist". Can a person who doesn't do drugs, even soft ones, be a hippie? What if (s)he also bathes daily? What if (s)he also has a steady job? What if (s)he is a Republican? What if (s)he has a six figure income? etc.
