I've recently been reading about astral projection. I've been wanting to do it, so I read about different OBE exit techniques and things like that. So I attempted it a few times, (once at night and also after I wake up) but failed to actually leave my body. I relaxed my body, and focused on my breathing, which was difficult because I kept hearing noises, and I felt a little uncomfortable lying on my back, as I read you should do it in this position. After I got somewhat relaxed, I tried using a few different methods of astral projection, but nothing would work. I would feel increased heartbeat, and a very slight vibrating feeling around my body. The most noticeable thing I've felt was how heavy my arms and legs seemed to be. What could I be doing wrong? Also, are there any resources you would recommend about astral projection? I read some of Robert Bruce's book, "Mastering astral projection", but It seemed a little too difficult to me compared to other methods I'd read online. I'd love to hear any experience's or any help you have to offer. :2thumbsup:
It does seem difficult. I used to sort of play a game with myself as a kid before going to sleep, I'd relax and imagine myself slowly turning... slowly rotating in a sort of ball. From there I could steer the ball this way and that. Looking back, seemed able to trick my body into feeling like its moving or onboard something that was moving fairly easily. I've never been out of my head otherwise w/o being affected by some substance. I once followed myself, from 6ft overhead, as I walked across a room to pet a dog. I wasn't down there... well I was, but the mind was above watching me pet the dog, isolated from that altogether... think I caught a tiny glimpse in the inner-mechanisms of reality that night.
Never, really. Like I said I could feel like I was moving around but never visiting a specific place. It was just bodily sensation, alone. Good luck on your attempts, though.
