Yikes! No replies yet? Unacceptable! Sign Language is the love of my life. I was accidentally placed in ASL class my freshman year of highschool for my foreign language credit, and I've never looked back. I plan on becoming an interpreter for the deaf. It literally changed my outlook on life.
I'm right there with ya! I love ASL! my best friend growing up was deaf so i became fluent over a year or so (i was very lucky to start learning very young when it is very easy to pick up on languages). I love the expressive-ness of the language. the way you set up a sentence before you talk about the subject, the way your entire body plays a part in what you are saying. It is just a fantastic language. I too, planned to be an interpreter, but am not sure that I am ready for 2-4 years of school at the moment.
