Years ago I gave my medium sized glass bong with a huge bowl on it to a friend because I was quitting smoking weed. About a month back I started smoking weed again, and I miss my bong! How bad would it be to ask for my bong back?
If you can't afford a new piece then it's not as bad... but still, you should probably just buy a new one.
I think that you should, if you can afford it buy a new bong..But if you cant then you COULD ask for it back, but as mentioned, it is a little rude if you GAVE it to your friend because you stopped smoking bud. If you have said, oh im just giving it to you until i can smoke weed again (probation, job, or other reason), then it would be different, i think..
ask your friend if he uses it. if its his main piece, then surely let him keep it, but theres a chance it usually sis on a shelf someplace. i find bongs bulky. they are awesome to smoke out of, but i dont think they are really worth the real estate they take up in a room, or in storage. im trying to get rid of a lot of stuff, and from what i understand that is kind of a trend, so he might be inclined to give it back in favor of smaller pieces. but if he says no, dont get all butt hurt about it. a gift is a gift. ask him to go with you to the head shop and help you pick out a nice piece.
Yeah i don't think i will. I just wanted THAT one back. I've had good times with that bong. Oh well, time to make some memories with a new bong lol. Thanks for the input everyone.
if you really wanted it back, just casually mention to him or in his presence that you're able to smoke again, but you dont have any pieces any more. say that you need to get something new. if he really doesn't use it, he might offer it up. otherwise ask him to join you in picking out a new one and christening it.
Perhaps purchase a new bong, and give that one to them. That way they still have a bong, and you have the one you want.
tell him you have nothing to smoke with, but don't ask for the bong back instead ask him for another piece he has so it'll be like a trade and you'll both have one from eachother
