Cool sketches dude, whats the medium ? You appear to prefer black and white to colour, do you struggle the same as I do with it ?
i like B&W as it shows true features, a true depth that is hidden by colour. If you saw a person walkig in pink top or multi coloured top you would notice the colour not the person.If they wore black you would notice the features...............plus working in colours a bugger sometimes as i do most of my work by shading the shape i want not drawing it first making it harder to do in colour...so basicly its as simple as BLACK & WHITE...LOL
for people and animals i use mostly heavy paper with pencil from 6B through to 6H, White and black charcoal. all else i use above with Hard/Soft pastels, water colour, acrylic all on heavy paper. on mamaKCita i used the full range of pencils to get the lighting and layering in her hair as i said i define by shading not drawing in a main picture. i draw mainly for referance in a sketch book.........

my work is as free as my spirit. I don't mind people using my stuff as long as they have the common decency to ask me first I dont mind as long as its not used in a way to hurt others like in a sexist or racist way
